- Pixies Pictures-1
Our first scans: 11 pictures taken from French magazines (Les Inrockuptibles, Best, Rock&Folk), a bootleg insert, and the back photo of the Sounds EP 1 sleeve (the b&w one).
Judging by their reuse rate on other pages, it seems that the first two pics
are particularly nice.
- Pixies Pictures-2
15 pictures taken from Spanish magazines and a Spanish book (Planet of Sound) scanned and very
kindly provided to us in 1996 by Superfuzz. Visit his homepage!
- Pixies Pictures-3
9 pictures taken from Les Inrockuptibles (1st one), Mojo (2nd one) and
Planet of Sound (all the others). We could make scans from the book by
ourselves, thanks to a copy sent by Superfuzz.
- Pixies Pictures-4
11 (mostly on stage) pictures scanned by our very dear friend Martin Moeller.
His
page on
Frank Black is excellent. Check it. He also has an
impressive collection of Pixies official and bootleg sleeve scans.
- Pixies Pictures-5
14 b&w pictures, some of them on stage.
The first 6 were taken from the 1991 tour book (photos by Kevin Westenburg)
and were scanned by Patrick Asselman.
The other 8 were taken from UK magazines, mainly NME and Melody Maker, whose
paper does not permit high quality scans.
- Pixies Pictures-6
12 pictures taken from various magazines (Spin, Select, Q, NME, Option, Vox, Guitar Magazine, Guitar World)
Most of these pictures (though not all) come from recent issues (thanks to Death To The Pixies!). Two or three
of them are so nice that they should circulate soon in the cyberworld and land on other Pixies pages.
- Pixies Pictures-7

4 pictures taken from French magazine Best, plus 2 nice pictures of Joey, one of
Black Francis, and a band shot ("Return of the Fat Man" bootleg insert).
OTHER WEB SOURCES FOR PICTURES
First, check our Fetichist Gallery, as it includes scans of wonderful b&w promotional photos.
The following Pixies sites also provide some original pictures:
...And this is it! No need to waste your time elsewhere: 99% of the Pixies
pics on the web originally come from these two sites and Alec Eiffel.
